WINNERS: one of 5 copies of my book!

Right, the winners for the competition have been picked! By deadline, there were 151 competition entries, and I used Random.org to pick the winners.

The winners are:

#2 – ryan97ou
#88 – Luís Brás
#120 – John Jimenez
#116 – Tim Norris
#98 – Aaron Snowden

I’ll e-mail you all as soon as to get your addresses so I can ship the books out to you. CONGRATULATIONS!

Original competition for posterity:

I know I keep harping on about it, but I’m rather proud of this thing – loads of you have already bought the book (just saw the latest report from the publisher – incredible!), but if you fancy winning one completely for free, then here’s your chance!

I’ve got 5 copies to give away completely for free, and I’ll even sign them for you, if you’re interested. To enter, simply add a comment to this post.

The winner will be drawn on May 5th this year, at random from the commenters (so make sure that you’ve entered a working e-mail address so I can contact you to get your mailing address!).

If you’re not sure what to leave a comment about, why not just post a link to your DeviantArt gallery, Flickr profile, or website? I’d love to learn a little more about you lovely people!

As an aside, would you guys be interested in more competitions on Photocritic?

Would you like me to run more competitions on Photocritic.org?

I am hoping to start entering a few competitions soon and maye make a name in the market.

Hey, i could have say “No, I never win anything anyway” because its true, i never won anything in my whole life… actually no, i’ve won once a leather jacquet worth £300 in a club when i was 14, and it wasn’t even my ticket but one i found on the floor… ok that was lucky but that it, nothing for the last… 14 years or so;
So i give it a try… because as we said “100% of the lottery winners have actually played!”
I feel like i’m gonna win this time! bring on the book!
by the way, i have to say i love your website, really.

My books

Macro Photography Photo Workshop

Macro Photography Photo Workshop by Haje Jan Kamps My day job, if it can be called that, is being a writer. I've got one book out there so far and it's awesome, so go ahead and buy a copy! It's available from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and most decent-sized bookshops, too!

To find out more, check out this post! If you want to know more about the 'being a writer' thing, check this site out.

Put another dime in the jukebox

Put another dime in the jukebox In front of you, five hyperactive men with guitars, drums, and microphones. Behind you, five thousand fans. In your hands, a camera... You're going to need more than just a little bit of good luck to pull this one off. That's where this book comes in.

With nearly a hundred fantastic gig photos, and a ton of info about how to get involved in taking photos like this yourself, you can't go wrong. Buy this book. Grab your camera. Good luck.

Street Photography: London

Street Photography: London Take a Canon EOS 450D. Attach a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. Hit the streets of London. See what happens.

Sounds simple - but the results are anything but. Moving, intense, and personal, Street Photography: London is a great collection of the people of London, their passions, and their dreams. Look for yourself!

About

This site is all about learning more about photography, from the incredibly insightful (rarely) to the dreadfully mundane (also, hopefully rarely) via just about everything in between.

If this website seems a little whimsical and random, then that's because the author of this blog, who for the occasion is confusing himself by writing about himself in the third person, is slightly whimsical and random himself.

Enjoy!
