Pet photography

IMG_0003-050302.jpgPeople really do come up with the oddest things, but it actually makes a lot of sense: People love their kids, and are willing to pay insane amounts of money for formulaic photographs taken by a photographer that really couldn’t care less. I’m not mentioning any names, of course, but I’m sure you can think of photography businesses who operate like that in your area…

So why not the same for pets? On my journeys around the Internet, I came across one person who claims he is making 500 US dollars a day taking pictures of people and their pets.

So you would love to make money by combining your love of photography and pets by becoming a professional pet photographer. You have a camera, know how to use it and can snap a pretty decent photo but you haven’t a clue as to how you are going to go about finding business.

Well you are about to discover one of the most easy, simple and low cost ways known to get flooded with business and clients fast!

You simply create “Free Portrait Certificates” that you print off on your computer.

Think about it. Who wouldn’t like a free professional portrait of their lovable precious pet? And what pet owner could possibly resist purchasing some of the adorable extra poses you will be taking and showing them?

This is one of the most effective and low cost ways you could ever use to start and market your own full time or part time home based pet photography business.

Once you design and print off your free portrait certificates, whom do you give them to? Why pet owners of course. How do you find hundreds of pet owners without advertising for them? Well there are several very good ways to do it. One of my favorites is setting up a “Joint Venture” with your local pet store or pet groomer.

I suspect that most of it the advice for sale is merely good, old-fashioned common sense, but the article actually has some pretty good tips in it.

Even if pet photography isn’t your thing, the ideas of how you can use creative tricks to draw in new business are good advice.

Hi Photo Critic, Thanks for reviewing my Pet Photography site. Just wanted to say that what you get from my ebay auction is a whole lot more than just common sense. Any photographer can double his or her portrait business overnight with my Magic Marketing Systems!

Cheers,

To many of my clients, pet photography is not a gimmick, and showing up with “a bag of old clothes and a digital camera” doesn’t make you a photographer. You are right photo critic, Pet photography has become a viable business as more and more people choose pets over partners or children. I’ve had clients cry with joy over the images of a pet who has now passed on.

The idea of printing up a certificate, grabbing your digital rebel, and calling yourself a pro is ludicrous photographing animals is hard work. Rewarding, but hard work nonetheless.

Macro Photography Photo Workshop

Macro Photography Photo Workshop by Haje Jan Kamps My day job, if it can be called that, is being a writer. I've got one book out there so far and it's awesome, so go ahead and buy a copy! It's available from Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, and most decent-sized bookshops, too!

To find out more, check out this post! If you want to know more about the 'being a writer' thing, check this site out.

Put another dime in the jukebox

Put another dime in the jukebox In front of you, five hyperactive men with guitars, drums, and microphones. Behind you, five thousand fans. In your hands, a camera... You're going to need more than just a little bit of good luck to pull this one off. That's where this book comes in.

With nearly a hundred fantastic gig photos, and a ton of info about how to get involved in taking photos like this yourself, you can't go wrong. Buy this book. Grab your camera. Good luck.

Street Photography: London

Street Photography: London Take a Canon EOS 450D. Attach a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. Hit the streets of London. See what happens.

Sounds simple - but the results are anything but. Moving, intense, and personal, Street Photography: London is a great collection of the people of London, their passions, and their dreams. Look for yourself!

About

This site is all about learning more about photography, from the incredibly insightful (rarely) to the dreadfully mundane (also, hopefully rarely) via just about everything in between.

If this website seems a little whimsical and random, then that's because the author of this blog, who for the occasion is confusing himself by writing about himself in the third person, is slightly whimsical and random himself.

Enjoy!
