Make your own Underwater Enclosure
I can’t deny that these guys are way braver than I am: I don’t think I’d be too happy to take my own camcorder or digital camera under water in what is essentially a plastic bag. But I think the solution could be very useful if you take photos in the streaming rain, at least.
Underwater photography equipment will typically set you back more money than the camera itself, so it is no wonder that people come up with some really exciting solutions!
Either way, How to make your own Underwater Camera Enclosure is a terribly exciting Do It Yourself project that is worth having a look at. The guys basically use a plastic bag to prevent the camera from getting wet and dying.
If that isn’t extreme enough for you, how about building your own under-water remote controlled vehicle? Apparently, it can be done for under $100. Get to work!

When I’m doing video at camp we just throw the camcorder in the dry bag and go :D Didn’t work TOO badly either… Except for the condensation…

I’m pretty sure that crystal cat litter is the same thing as dessicant; no need to buy it by the ounce.
